Hi Deni, what three words best describe your personality?
Passion. Loyalty. Empathy.
What event made the biggest impact on who you are today?
Without question coming out as gay at 19. That was the catalyst for the self-discovery journey that would go on to inform the rest of my life.
What does it mean to identify as Non-Binary? Why is this important to you?
Identifying as non-binary to me is the definition of freedom. It's allowed me to live beyond the traditional binary concept of gender and identify authentically. Both for myself and the way I exist and show up as a human in this world.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
You’re enough, you’re never too much. Please be kind to yourself, be smarter with your money, back yourself and protect your spirit. I love you darling, you’re brilliant.
What does Pride mean to you?
Pride to me is all about self-love. When you truly love yourself, your identity, your sexuality and all that comes with living in your skin – that’s when pride truly follows.
Out of everything in your wardrobe, how would you style your Pride Deuce High Volley sneakers?
I’ll be pairing them with either a tutu, a gown or a maxi skirt. I’m all about combining the unexpected and love mixing streetwear with higher fashion pieces.
